MHS Year 10 student Mahsa, was presented with a Highly Commended Award for her entry in the Australia-Japan Relations Essay Contest for NSW and NT School Students. The Consul-General of Japan in Sydney, Mr Keizo Takewaka, hosted the ceremony at the Consul-General's Official Residence in Bellevue Hill on Wednesday 6 December 2017.
In the senior division, students were asked to respond to the question: Japan is due to host the Rugby World Cup in 2019 and the Olympic Games in 2020. What are some of the lessons Japan can learn from Australia's own hosting of these major sporting events, to lead to the success of the 2019 Rugby World Cup and the 2020 Olympic Games?
