Commerce focuses on how individuals relate to one another and organisations in the commercial world of production, distribution and exchange of goods and services to satisfy individual and community wants. The Commerce syllabus concentrates on seven areas:

- Government
- Law
- Records
- Consumers
- Labour/Work
- Money
The study of Commerce should guide students towards an understanding of Australia's changing commercial environment and allow them to participate responsibly and effectively in that environment.
In Commerce students will become involved and experience the following activities:
- running a small business
- holding an election
- manufacturing products
- mock trials
- returning unsatisfactory goods
- work experience
- visiting factories, business and courts
