Marrickville High School today opened the new Sensory Room as part of the Support Unit for students with special needs. The Sensory Room was a dream of a young Marrickville student named Ethan, who wanted a learning space that was relaxing, imaginative and tactile. Ethan's family worked with the State Government's Building Community Partnerships to raise funds to build the Sensory Room, which was opened today by the Hon Jo Haylen MP. Thank you to the Autism Community Network, Ethan and his family, and our dedicated teaching and support staff for helping to bring Ethan's dream to fruition.
